SERVICE AGREEMENTS
The NDIA advises having a written service agreement to ensure that both participants and providers have a clear understanding of their commitments. These agreements help align expectations regarding the supports be delivered and the methods of delivery. Creating a service agreement involves negotiation between the participant and the provider, and participants may choose to involve a nominated person, like a family member or friend or obtain independent legal advice. Additionally, a written service agreement is mandatory for Specialist Disability Accommodation supports under NDIS guidelines.

A Special Disability Trust is a trust established for the benefit of a severely disabled person.
